| Sec. 1.01
Authority |
|
These Regulations were adopted by the
Board of Directors of the Emerald Bay
Municipal Utility District on June 27,
2006, to be effective August 15, 2006,
pursuant to the authority granted to
Municipal Utility Districts by the Texas
Legislature under Section 54.205 of the
Texas Water Code. |

| Sec. 1.02 Purpose
|
| The purpose of these
rules and regulations, as authorized in
Section 54.205 of the Texas Water Code,
is to: |

(1) Secure
and maintain safe, sanitary, and
adequate plumbing installations,
connections, and appurtenances
as subsidiary parts of the
District's sanitary sewer
system;
(2) Preserve the sanitary
condition of all water
controlled by the District;
(3) Prevent waste and the
unauthorized use of water
controlled by the District;
(4) Regulate privileges on any
land or any easement owned or
controlled by the District; and
(5) Provide and regulate a safe
and adequate freshwater
distribution system. |

| Sec. 1.03
Definitions |
| As used in these
Regulations, the following terms: |
| |
(a) District
means the Emerald Bay Municipal
Utility District.
(b) District Representative
means a director of the District
or a representative or employee
of the District engaged in
carrying out the terms of or
performing services prescribed.
(c) Person includes an
individual, partnership or
corporation but does not include
a governmental unit. (d) Property Owner means
the Person who owns a lot or tract of
land served by the District freshwater
system and/or sanitary sewer system,
regardless of whether the lot or tract
of land is used for a single family
dwelling, multiple family dwelling, or
for commercial purposes. |
